Ace Allied Health is excited and lucky to welcome Smitha Kumar to the team.
A Paediatric Occupational Therapist (OT) with over 15 years of experience as a professional, Smitha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the team. With previous experience in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, chronic pain and psychiatric services Smitha then moved Paediatric services and hasn’t looked back.
Living and working across the Bendigo and Castlemaine regions since 2009, Smitha understands what it means for her clients to deal with challenges and disability, especially those that can arise in a rural setting when people are faced with tough choices between long wait times and long distance travel.
Available now to see paediatric clients, Smitha can see clients for a variety of disabilities and Neurodevelopmental disorders, including for assessment, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic care, working on capacity building, working with the family unit as a whole on education and support and providing advocacy in the health and NDIS system.
In her spare time you are likely to find Smitha hitting up the road travelling, or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
